Lagos has created quite a buzz over the years around the world. Slowly and gradually Logos has become one of the most visited cities in the Africa. The success of tourism in Lagos has given lots of international airlines to offer Lagos flights to their travelers on regular basis. This has not only helped the airlines to establish their customers but Lagos as well in regards of Tourism.                    
Massive amount of travelers come to Lagos during the school holidays season in April, July and December. These are the peek months for tourism in Lagos and heavy crowed can be seen at Lagos International Airport. Lagos is one of the few cities in world which is separated by the huge creeks. These creeks has split Lagos city into islands like Lagos Island, Lekki Island, Vitoria Island and Ikoyi Island, together they form the entire Lagos city.


Lagos Island
Lagos Island is the main island of the city and encompasses the main Lagos central business industry. Tourist can find some of the most magnificent historical places in Lagos Island. Some of the most popular places at Lagos Island are Oba Palace, Tinubu Square, Christ’s Cathedral, Glover Memorial hall, Lagos Central Mosque and the national Museum. Among all the places at Lagos Island, the Tinubu Square has the most historical importance. Nigerian government has been trying its best to preserve the Tinubu Square site in its original habitat since the island has gotten attention by tourists.                      

Ikoyi Island
Ikoyi Island is the second most popular island in Lagos and it’s located at the eastern half of the Lagos Island. The Ikoyi Island and Lagos Islands are joined to each other by the landfill, although the Ikoyi and Victoria islands are connected with each other by a bridge. Ikoyi Island used to be the most important island among all the islands in Lagos, as it was known as the seat of government. The Ikoyi Island has major government offices and institutions including Federal secretariat complex and the headquarters of federal government of Nigeria. Now Ikoyi Island encompasses a top security prison, federal high court, and military & police barracks. The Ikoyi Island is famous for its recreational park, hotels, nightclubs, bars, and Africa’s largest golf courses. So if tourists are looking forward for some thing entirely classy then Ikoyi Island is a place for you to stay and enjoy.

Lekki and Victoria Islands
The Lekki Island and Victoria Island are located at the south of Lagos Island. In Africa, these islands are famous for its expensive real estate properties. As Victoria and Ikoyi are connected with each other through bridge, that’s why both islands together occupies a major area in the suburbs of Lagos. These suburban areas have Nigeria Biggest movie theatre, some stunning beaches along with Nigeria’s biggest shopping mall.
The unique islands division and stunning locations of Lagos attracts thousands of tourists every year and with cheap fares and living expenses, Lagos has become tourist favorite destination in Africa.
